School Safety Data Utilization Project School Safety Data Utilization Project

Creating a database of all school cases involving death, disability, injury, and related incidents for ongoing statistical analysis
E-LINE Co., Ltd. performs multifaceted data analysis, including cross-tabulation, on the extensive annual data on 'accidents under the supervision of schools and other institutions' compiled by the Japan Sport Council. Specifically, we comprehensively organize cases of benefits paid for death, disability, condolence flowers, and tooth loss by fiscal year, and examine from multiple perspectives their relationships with school type (elementary school, junior high school, high school, special needs school, kindergarten, etc.), circumstances of the accident, and student characteristics.

Beyond simply counting cases, cross-tabulation by sex, grade, location of the accident, and type of activity makes it possible to identify concrete patterns in incidents. Statistical comparison of changes over time also reveals trends in risk factors in school settings and helps prioritize safety measures. In addition, based on case-analysis results, we extract practical points for accident prevention by addressing questions such as 'In what situations do accidents occur most often?' and 'Among which characteristics are severe cases more likely to occur?'

School Safety Data

A key feature of E-LINE is that we organize analysis results in forms that can be used immediately by schools and government agencies and provide visually clear reports using graphs and statistical tables. This makes it easier for school staff and board-of-education personnel to directly apply the findings to safety instruction and reviews of management systems. Through data analysis, our aim is not merely to present numbers but to derive specific improvements for safety education and accident prevention.

E-LINE Co., Ltd. will continue supporting the analysis of such statistical materials and making proposals that contribute to safety in educational settings and the healthy growth of children and students.
